Why Preparation Matters
A well-prepared property not only photographs better but also helps potential buyers envision themselves living in the space. By following this checklist, you’ll ensure your home shines in every shot, helping it stand out in the competitive real estate market.

Declutter and Depersonalize

- Clear countertops, tables, and shelves of personal items (e.g., mail, toiletries, kitchen gadgets).
- Remove excess furniture or decor that may make spaces feel cramped.
-Store away personal photos, valuables, and any items you don’t want to be visible in the photos.

Clean and Tidy

- Ensure all rooms are clean, including floors, windows, and mirrors.
- Make beds, fluff pillows, and straighten cushions.
- Vacuum carpets and mop hard floors.

Lighting

- Open all curtains and blinds to let in natural light.
- Turn on all interior lights, including lamps and overhead fixtures.
- Replace any burnt-out lightbulbs.

Exterior Preparation

- Clear driveways, walkways, and patios of vehicles, tools, or debris.
- Trim landscaping, mow the lawn, and remove any outdoor clutter.
- Ensure outdoor furniture is clean and neatly arranged.

Final Touches

- Close all toilet lids and ensure bathrooms are spotless.
- Ensure all doors and cabinets are closed unless otherwise directed.
